Director of Product Design

Location: Boston, MA

PatientPing is a venture-backed health technology company based in Boston, MA that is transforming healthcare delivery. We are building a national network that connects providers with real-time notifications when their patients receive care anywhere, so that providers can better coordinate patient care. Our customers include hundreds of health systems, physician organizations, and post-acute care providers across the country. Our vision is bold – to build a national care coordination network that allows providers to put patients at the center of their care.

Job Description:

We are actively hiring a full-time Director of Product Design whose work is clean, focused, and inspiring. You will balance the needs of multiple stakeholders in order to create elegant solutions, working closely with the Product and Engineering teams to create the next generation of our product. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging great design to transcend complex problems in healthcare. 

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to rapidly iterate on the current platform and create amazing experiences for our customers
  • Deliver wireframes, UX flows, mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and final assets
  • Develop personas, define the user experience, and define workflows for new features
  • Conduct user research and delve into the minds of our users to facilitate rapid prototyping of new designs and concepts
  • Use data to guide the iteration and refinement of our current UI/UX and workflows
  • Develop and produce creative visual and brand design
  • Establish a design framework to guide our products and collateral

What You Need:

  • BA/BS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Design, or a related field
  • Experience with web design issues such as browser capabilities, resolutions, etc.
  • Experience turning complex problems into simple and engaging customer interfaces
  • Fluency with web and mobile design principals and best practices
  • Ability to produce prototypes using Photoshop, Sketch, OmniGraffle or other design tools
  • Front-end experience with CSS3, HTML5, modern JavaScript frameworks, and Flux/React is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Link to your online portfolio (healthcare web application design experience is a plus)
